STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Frontman Hard At Work On New Solo Album
November 18, 2002STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer Scott Weiland is halfway through completing his second solo album with producer Josh Abraham (STAIND, ORGY, CRAZY TOWN). No release date has yet been set but Weiland, who is co-producing the effort, says that "my music, compared to STP, is a lot more avant-garde, you know, it's much more experimental and weird, definitely textured and STP is a rock 'n' roll band format, you know, bass, drums, guitar, and a lead singer and we're great at what we do. You know, maybe we're the best around right now at what we do. But, uh, when I make music for myself, uh, it tends to come from my influences, which are a little bit more obscure."
The STONE TEMPLE PILOTS frontman released his first solo album, "12 Bar Blues", in 1998.
